Description
This regulator, 4 1/4” in diameter, has been designed for use on ducts with one inch insulation.
Four holes, 3/16” in diameter are provided to rivet or screw this regulator to the duct surface. The flange which covers the raw edge of the insulation is 7/8” high, so that it slightly compresses the insulation and holds it in place. The regulator handle is 3/8” above the flange, and can be turned easily without roughing up the insulation.
As in our other self locking regulators, the die cast core is made with 120 serrations which engage the teeth in the cover when the flat spring separating the two pieces is compressed by tightening the locking nut.
The #644 regulator is made to accommodate either 3/8” or 1/2” square rod.
